So I didn't color it in but I animated the the #atla coloring book page that I got at #nycc at the panel. Animated it in #aftereffectsand #c4d
Did the coloring page animation in after effects after scanning cleaning and separating the image in photoshop. I place the various elements in 3D space to get some perspective when I moved the virtual camera. I rendered out the animation as a sequence and then applied it to a wood texture in c4d on the block that I tried to make look like an actual wood cut.
It's not an actually wood cut since I did have a fill in the block to shot it being full engraved but I didn't want to actual color it in...So it's just lines on a woodblock. The final render for c4d took around 8hr for the 120 frames.
Then I composited it together in After effects to give it a bit more atmosphere than the original plain render. I'm also going to upload just a version of the animation by it's self so it easier to see.
